Whetstone was opened in 1995 and bought over in 2002 by Joy Hawkridge, who is still the Creative Director of the Salon. Sharing Aveda’s passion for a chemical free natural environment, Joy proceeded to introduce Aveda’s naturally derived Full Spectrum Permanent Hair Colour System into the salon, creating Ireland’s first Aveda Concept Salon specialising exclusively in Aveda products for hair colouring and styling as well as make up services.
At Whetstone we deliver an exceptional standard of hairdressing in a relaxed and creative environment, with the salon also serving as a gallery where art can be viewed and purchased. Our highly trained staff strive to give each guest a personalised style that will leave them looking and feeling beautiful and happy.
